Professional Role-player and Scenario Design Service

Why use my role-play and scenario design services?
I have trained, briefed, and de-briefed role-players and acted as a role-player myself for over 35 years now and across a huge spectrum of industries.

I was an assessor at the National Police Recruit Assessment Centre at Ryton on Dunsmore.

My clients cover a wide range of commercial, sensitive and thematic areas, and I have portrayed many varied roles, including:

Police advanced undercover course – Acting as a terrorist leader and surveillance target

National Security courses – Acting as a foreign intelligence operative, terrorist, witness, victim, subject of interest

Police courses – Acting as a suspect, witness, complainant, solicitor, victim, injured party, senior officer, press officer, bystander, and rioter

Sales arena – Acting as Landlord, prospective buyer, tenant, member of the public and mystery shopper

Military – Acting as a protester, attack team member, journalist, bomb attack survivor, witness and recruitment target

Commercial assessment centres – Acting as a customer, stakeholder, CEO, disgruntled and worried team member

My experience as a trainer, head of training, role-player, recruit assessor and facilitator, allows me to add extra value to your company’s exercises, assessment centres and recruitment processes.

Be that through writing scenarios for you to use with your own role-players, or using me to just role-play, through to crafting your scenarios and also role-playing, assessing and de-briefing for you.

My proven ability to understand your exact requirements, follow your instructions, and stay within the set assessment criteria and parameters, will ensure your processes are consistent, fair and compliant with employment law and assessment criteria.

My ability to adapt during a scenario to make it as realistic as possible for the candidate, whilst still staying within your briefed parameters, is key to ensuring the candidate has the best chance to demonstrate their skills and feel immersed in the realism of the scenario, thereby reacting in a more realistic way.

Authenticity is key in the role being portrayed – As a skilled role-player I bring realism, nuance, and emotional depth to scenarios, making the learning stick.

Consistency – I deliver repeatable, structured interactions that allow for fair assessment across participants.

Adaptability: I am able to adjust tone, complexity, and emotional intensity based on the learner’s level and client objectives.

Insightful Feedback: I provide professional observations from within the scenario, enriching debriefs.

Experienced Scenario Design Support:

I successfully wrote and delivered Exercise Archer, the first London 2012 Olympic Games, Gold command, Multi-agency, Table top exercise and have designed over 500 scenarios in my career. Therefore I can help shape any scenario to meet your desired and specific learning outcomes.
